Meet your host
Hi there! I'm Nicola, your sauna host and the proud founder of Bask Saunas. Before diving into this exciting adventure, I explored a variety of roles in adult physical and mental health services. I kicked off my career in twenties as an outdoor education instructor and most recently worked with a fantastic organization, helping individuals with complex trauma.
On my journey here I have learned much about the mind-body connection. Having worked alongside clinical psychologists for over 6 years some common themes emerged which are proven to enhance both mind and body; Yoga, meditation, breath-work, connecting with others and being out in nature with all her wild elements. It goes without saying, regular sauna usage is also a wonderful activity which has a wealth of physical and mental health benefits. After witnessing the transformative changes in others and myself from using these simple practices regularly I've developed a deep passion for self healing and wellness.
Cold water swimming has been my favourite personal method for overcoming challenges, and I can't wait to share the incredible therapeutic benefits of cold water and heat with you. I hope you will also be inspired by the healing power of nature when you come to Bask.
