Essential Sauna Tips for Beginners
Welcome to our sauna. Its important to us everyone has an enjoyable experience while using our facilities, so lets talk about sauna etiquette. We are open to the public and campsite users so please be respectful to all onsite when you visit.
To ensure a comfortable experience, please bring your own towel to sit on and stay well-hydrated before, during and after your sauna. We will provide drinking water for you onsite, no drinking or eating inside the sauna please.
We ask all guests to remain clothed in appropriate sauna attire, however please have bare feet in the sauna and give them a dip in the tub beside the door before entering. Additionally, we kindly ask you shower or rinse off before entering the sauna, this is so all lotions, perfumes, fake-tan and make-up are removed before starting your sauna session. We also request if you have dyed your hair less than 72 hours before the session not to use the sauna, this prevents transfer of dye onto the sauna surfaces.
Please remove all jewllery, glasses and watches, otherwise they will heat up can could burn your skin or break
Avoid touching the stove, sauna stones, chimney, vents, or windows please. If you think anything needs changing or see issues with any part of the sauna, please report this to the host and we will sort it out
Entering the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited, being hungover is also not a good idea at all. Sorry folks but we care about your health and if we notice any of the above you wont be permitted to use the facilities. Please don't use the sauna if you feel unwell and please remove yourself from the sauna if you start to feel dizzy or or sick in anyway.
Now we all know the etiquette of this sauna, we encourage you to relax, enjoy your time, and take opportunity to connect with others!
Please remember to read the full terms and conditions before making a booking

We understand you will heat up but please refrain from pouring water over your body inside the sauna, if you need to cool down pop outside and chill out or take the plunge in a cold bath.
Sauna Bathing does naturally lead to faster exfoliation of the skins upper layer, however we ask you to avoid shaving, exfoliating, applying body care products or cutting nails while inside the sauna. We have showers onsite for you to do this after your experience. Additionally, if you have open cuts or wounds please don't use the sauna. Lets keep the shared environment safe and clean for all.
We have a soap-stone bowl which you will notice on the stove stones. This will be filled with water which will help to keep the sauna atmosphere comfortably moist. We can also add your preferred sauna fragrance if all parties agree. We ask you not to add any personal essential oils. Additionally adding water to the stones can be done minimally thanks to the soap-stone bowl. Remember to always add water to stove stones by starting at the furthest away point moving ladle towards your body, this will stop you from scolding your arm.
Please always ask others before you add water to the stove stones. We have a thermometer and Hygrometer in the sauna to help us maintain safe temperature and humidity levels, if in doubt ask the host to help out
